Degree program

A medical degree for today, and tomorrow

The School of Medicine and Advanced Medical Engineering will produce physicians trained to blend multiple disciplines to care for a patient one-on-one and a community at scale. The blend of medicine, engineering, technology and humanities will create a health care leader with a strong sense of innovation, problem-solving, and comfort with new devices and new protocols in treatment.

This physician will be a professional with a deep understanding of the scientific underpinnings of health and disease, who has empathy and communication skills informed by the humanities, a strong understanding of community care, and expertise in biological and health systems thinking shaped by engineering. This training will lead to improved health outcomes at scale for Arizona and the nation.
