Advising

At the ASU John Shufeldt School of Medicine and Medical Engineering, career planning is not just a final-year activity — it’s a structured four-year journey supported by our academic community. From the moment you step onto campus, you’ll be surrounded by a team of mentors, advisors and peers dedicated to helping you discover your passion and confidently take the next steps toward residency and beyond.

Whether you’re exploring specialties, preparing for residency interviews, or deciding how to combine your passions for medicine and engineering, the school’s career advising program is here to help you succeed. The program combines personalized mentorship, structured programming and access to national resources, ensuring you are fully prepared to make informed, meaningful decisions about your future in medicine.

A four-year road map to your future
